Is Blackjack Really the Easiest Game in a Casino?
Is blackjack the easiest casino game to play? Is it the game wherein you can make the easiest profit? This argument, research or debate has been going on for so long now that one wonders why the scientists aren’t researching this. As a matter of fact, in the 80’s a bunch of students from the Stanford University decided to look into this matter and study the odds of the various casino games, determining which are easy to play and which are more profitable.
The kids from the Stanford University were concerned only with games wherein the players compete with the house and not amongst themselves i.e. in house games. Blackjack is one game which is a blend of both, because in it besides playing against the house, you are also playing amongst yourselves. The other players make a huge difference in this game. In online blackjack too you play against the house as well as other players like you who are seated in front of their PC screens.
These students came to the conclusion that blackjack is the easiest game among the other casino games, and also the most profitable. However, these students did not consider poker while researching. There are many people who feel that the most profitable game among the casino games is poker though you have to be good at it. The same applies for blackjack. Though blackjack does give you more opportunities than any other game in online or real and live casino, your chances of winning rely on how good you are. Don’t think that you can simply go play blackjack without any practice and win as soon as you think you have played enough. Blackjack like poker, requires skills and strategies. The students from Stanford University also came to the conclusion that coming up with a strategy of your own, executing it for a long duration is essential to turn your strategy into profit. Hence, the better odds that people keep talking about in blackjack, is actually not existent. It is just about your game, your skills and how good you are in a particular game. A player will only win against the house if he or she has a strong strategy and has been playing for a long time. These university students went to casinos as well as online casinos and made profits with their theories. They published their conclusions in scientific journals and were later banned from entering any casino
So, play using your skills, and if you come up with super strategies, don’t publish it!
